Hello all. I am in need of a video recorder for recording indoor tabletop games. Lots of players record their games typical from a handheld camera, but it's always a bit...meh. I was wondering with the new "follow me" drones there might be a solution for me. This drone will be used indoors and only a few feet above me. I want to record a 6'x4' table, preferably an eagle-eyed view. Here are my requirements: - Auto stabilization - Downward facing camera or a drone that can angle downwards over my shoulder - Portable - Low noise - Replaceable battery ( I will be recording 2 hour sessions, and since a quick search found most only have 30 minutes, I would just get multiple batteries). - HD I was looking at the new Passport one by Apple, but then noticed the 10minute flight time...
There is no drone which is quiet - those props beating the air make a lot of noise. They also make for moving air, which I hope would not upset your games (blowing cards around, etc). Long flight times for indoor drones hardly exist. You want want to consider a solution such as something along the DJI Osmo line on a arm or other type of mount. This can be remotely controlled from the smart phone or tablet a distance away. http://bit.ly/2sWYcOG
