...I have zero experience with drones. I just bought this one. It takes off and flies wonderfully, only once it gets started, it does its own thing. The drone does not respond to the right lever control, however, when I look at the screen without actually flying the drone, I get a dotted response when I move the right lever, up, down, left, right. The user manual is poorly written. If I cannot control this drone with the right lever, is there something wrong with the controller, or does the drone need to be properly trimmed? If so, how do I do this, step by step. Thanks, joe.
If the right control does nothing, something is seriously wrong. You should be able to determine this even without having the unit fly.....just rev up the props a bit and then move the stick forward and the unit should lean forward on the ground - same thing backwards, etc. Are you sure you don't have a "mode 1" TX by accident? This would make the right hand stick the throttle. Pictured is the Mode 2 (what we usually use in the USA, etc.) - where the throttle and rotate is on the left and the pitch (forward/backward) and roll (left right) are on the right stick. "trim" is only for slight adjustments - but I think you should be able to make sure they are centered by some dots shown on the LCD screen.
Hi Joe, Have you found the solution, I have bought this drone too (x5c) and all is working perfectly ! Sincerly, Domi.
Hi Domi, Yes, I found how the trims work, I am able to fly somewhat better. However, if you want to give me advice on how to hover and steer the Syma better, I'd appreciate that. Thanks. joe.
