Nice way to get free Cyber Monday advertising on 60 Minutes............ Possible, Yes.....my birds do this also but under specific mission parameters and not by civilians. Smart, No.......not for use in the public sector. Too many things could go wrong, the first time a child gets sliced by the rotors, when some ID 10 T knocks one out of the sky, the first one to damage property............seems like a law suit waiting to happen. And I do not think the FAA will allow it, at least from my discussions with them on the whole UAS regulations for commercial use. But, like I said, nice way to get free ad space on the 60 Minutes time slot...............
And the video: Amazon tends to look 10-20+ out - so, yes, they are getting free PR but I am fairly certain they are also going to put some money into R&D. We'll see if we are both here in 15 years....I intend to be!
Here is an article on the present reality - but, if not for those who can look decades ahead, where would we be today? http://www.pcworld.com/article/2069000/heres-why-amazon-drones-may-never-land-at-your-door.html
