The world out there is excited about 3DR’s accomplishments, our products, and our potential. But we have also heard the need to consolidate and accelerate our transition into being an hyperfocused machine. It’s an exciting change that places 3DR in an amazing position to influence the world and become a disciplined, highly profitable company. But this acceleration means that today, we will be saying goodbye to some of our team in Berkeley. These situations are tough, there’s no point in sugarcoating it. But we know in our hearts that the right thing to do is to manage the company so that it can continue to realize its potential, react to change, and stay on sound financial footing. We will be meeting with each employee in Berkeley to inform them of their future roles with 3DR. We will be saying goodbye to friends and colleagues - some today, some in the weeks to come. But everyone will know exactly where you stand today. We invite all in Berkeley to take the time today to do what is needed to exchange contact information and say goodbye. Reflectiveness, admiration, thankfulness, sadness and excitement - all are reasonable emotions on days like these.
