I’m a licensed UAS pilot and work commercially. Recently as I was packing up after shooting a cycling event (as a volunteer), a guy came up to me and said if I’d get my drone a little closer to him, he’d be happy to shoot it out of the sky. Then chuckles and looked at me like he expected me to find it funny too. Obviously, I didn’t. I told him that would suck and then I’d have get the police involved and that wouldn’t be fun for anyone. To reinforce his point he said that if he ever saw one over his rural property he would shoot it down. I explained that he didn’t own the airspace over his land and that was still illegal on his part. At this point he was getting agitated so I just finished packing up and left. Anyone else’s have a similar experience? Trying to decide if I should report him...
