Hello I have a nighthawk pro 280 and fatshark vr1100 goggles, a friend built it for me who is a professional RC guy. I can fly it although it is so responsive its hard to handle. I learned on a Hubsan Quads x4 and can fly that pretty well without crash and burn fears, I have rebuilt it down to soldering many times and take fairly good video, although bumpy.
    2 part question
    1. I cannot find any other racer pilots here in Ft Myers florida who will even talk to me about it, too stuck up I guess, so it seems really hard to fly with goggles on, when I cannot see what is going on beside the flying drone and could I fly it well enough with goggles??? Don't know. My professional friend is too busy flying real airplanes to help me.
2.I fly a phantom 3 advanced and take pro level video with it and have no fears flying it because of the software, although I only fly manual mode and never have the auto return feature going. Maybe I need another gps enabled drone to learn on before I try the goggles on the nighthawk any suggestions? Thanks

That is where Throttle curves and Expos can help. They can be adjusted in the software or the radio itself. I use the radio as I can instantly see the effect in the field without the need to fire up any software or a computer.

Trying to figure out what quad you have. If it has the tilted motor mounts on it, remove them. If you are using 6045 propellers, step down to 6030.

Thanks its a nighthawk pro 280 and the motors are not tilted, but they are 6045 props, so I will change that. My transmitter does not have a video screen on it.

That's too bad. Your Flight Controller is programmed with either Baseflight or Cleanflight (both available free online.)

Those adjustments can be made there, along with many others to tailor your quad to your needs.

This programming can be quite daunting to those new to the hobby. There are many YouTube videos on the subject.

Is this the combo you have?

Finally got into clearflight and set up the nighthawk, NOW I have a pair of new Fatshark VR1100 goggles and I have tried for hours to get them connected to the nighthawk camera transmitter.
The goggles are working and have the contrasty image running. I have flipped the switches to all different settings matching the settings asked for by fatshark, no image! I moved the strength switch around on the nighthawk camera transmitter,no image. I'm stuck and not happy, so close and so far!!! help
