And here I was starting to complain that they have rested on their laurels for too long. This thing looks amazing and is likely to be reasonably priced - this could be a game changer fif the price is in the $500-$700 range....(no price announced): http://www.wired.com/2014/05/parrot-bebop-drone/ http://gizmodo.com/parrots-new-bebop-drone-wants-to-be-your-eyes-in-the-sk-1572259655
Parrot site http://www.parrot.com/usa/products/bebop-drone/#pilotage Looks like they have been watching all the forums, and took a lot of ideas and modifications others have done and made them their own....DBS's antenna for the handheld, Garrocks antenna mods, antenna boosters mod (like mine, DBS, Garrock and others), numerous hull mods, angling the front camera, isolating the camera on silicone balls..................everything everyone else did to the AR Drone 1.0 and 2.0 they listened and put it into the beBop (BTW, stupid name). Even the flight app is like some of the aftermarket ones made by others. But, IMHO, it is too small, limited flight time, clunky looking, and a fish eye lens........good the range is increased (but beyond line of site limits???) and has built in GPS and 8 Gb "hard drive". And I hope the rumors of $1000 price is true, that will keep it above my target price range for the civilian version of the 4X Dragon UAS.............
