Just got my Parrot AR Drone 2.0 last week and I am already looking for upgrade ideas. Are there any drone pilots who have been able to mount a functioning night vision mod on to an AR drone, if so how?

Not really "night vision", but adding LED's to light up the cameras view (both bottom and front facing) seem to help. Night flying, you must light up the bottom camera so the AR knows where it is as the bottom camera is used to hold it in position.

You can take off the IR layer from camera lens on your AR.Drone and just add some good focused bright IR LED for illumination. You will get a perfect night spy, but keep in mind that the drone uses the bottom camera for localization and if you modify it so it ceases to operate on daylight or at least become confused. Moreover you will lost the warranty.
