Hi guys, I am new to the forums and just starting up a drone photography business. I have built my website myself ( go gentle as it was my first site) and just wanted to get some of your guys input. I have a few portfolio items with some drone shoots. www.maineskyimagery.com
Well....you have to empty or populate the ipum condiesg help page and anything else that was filled up in the template. The theme seems responsive, which is good. You have to make certain to test it on a fairly slow connection and mid-level machine. Personally, I don't like autoplay videos on any page, especially a first page. Those are my opinions - based on 20 years making web sites and 35+ of various marketing and advertising. Also, be sure to continue to place a lot of content which contains words....in addition to pictures. Search engines use the words to rank you. Those words, of course, should contain phrases that your potential customers may be typing into search engines New England, Maine, NH, New Hampshire, aerial photography, drone photography, aerial video and many more. Get the plug-in by Yoast which helps you use the proper words for SEO. https://yoast.com/wordpress/plugins/seo/
Before you get into trouble (I am hoping you have already done what is required) https://www.faa.gov/uas/civil_operations/ https://www.faa.gov/uas/faq/ Question 4...... https://www.faa.gov/uas/faq/#qn4 If you are in compliance you would be advised to state that on your "about us" section. No need for your aircraft certificate number or any of that, just a statement saying "we fly in compliance with the FAA Civil Operations regulations for UAS aircarft" Its getting real touchy on drones with privacy issues and the general public dis-trust / lack of knowledge, so make sure your in FAA compliance.
Hey Guys, I appreciate all the feedback! I have cleaned up some of the template issues on the website so that should be good now. I also removed the auto play of the video on the homepage as suggested. I got the yoast plugin and have started to SEO optimize it. I plan to go out and get some more shoots this weekend so I can continue to build the portfolio and content and therefore raise my SEO rank. Now I must admit that I do not have a section 333 exemption to fly commercially but from what I have read this is a huge process to try and go through and can cost thousands of dollars in lawyer fees. I am still treating it as a sort of gray area until the FAA has thought this out more.
