I've been getting this allot lately. My setup is phantom a phantom 2 with gopro 4 black shooting on 4k without contrast & sharpen etc... My question to you guy's cause I can't find this anywhere on the internets (please post if you know something related to this): What is this? Why is this? How do you prevent it? How to remove it in postproduction? See video for example shot on the 3rd of juli 2015: It's quite annoying cause from the ground I can't see it on the screen either!
This is sun flicker from the propellers. There are at least two ways to help fix it. The easiest is probably a Lens Hood or Lens Pedal. http://www.shapeways.com/product/2KMX572KW/petal-lens-hood-for-phantom-2-vision Also, an ND filter for the lens may help. You should try the lens hood first. You can probably even make your own with some plastic and tape.
