My name is Jay, I’m 64 and brand spanking new to the hobby, no experience with drones what so ever. My wife and I enjoy hiking and always thought it would be fun to get a birds eye view of the area we are exploring, but the cost of a drone I could use with a GoPro on kept me from buying one, until now. I found a Phantom 1, in the box, at a local thrift store for $15. Some of the accessories have been removed from their original packing, but other than that, It looks brand new. Update I put it together, charged the battery and started it up. I did not fly it because there wasn't enough space. Been trying to find a manual, and came across a site talking about software. Does it need software installed before I fly it? Where can I download the software? I have a lot more questions. Jay
