I haven't purchased my first drone yet, I am still researching.
I know I want to do photography and videography eventually though.
    I'm curious about modding drones.
I've noticed a lot of models, and they all have good points and bad points.
The 3 areas that I have noticed that I am interested in modding are...Remote distance, FPV transmission distance, Flying time, and Weight bearing ability.
It seems like swapping radios, batteries, and possibly props, and motors would accomplish these, but I'm just learning.
    Can these things be done?
I'm hoping to learn that and a lot more here, and talk to like minded folks.

For photography you want to fly line of sight, and use goggles to set up your shots, waypoints (for DJI) and to keep the sun from whiting out your display. Keep it simple to start and learn how to fly before you try the advanced stuff. I started out with a Chroma, a nice starter drone, unfortunately it's now somewhere in the Santiam River. I bought a DJI P4 which I haven't destroyed yet and the new upgraded models came out 2 months after I bought it. It's no big deal, all the advanced models have over the first one is a few more bells and whistles. Learn how to use your camera and filters if photography is your goal. You might want to look for a deal on a P3.
