ESC calibration

Hello - I searched many forums before deciding to ask a question.
I am using 2300 KV motors with 12 A Makerfire Esc. I connected the signal wire to Pin 9 of Arduino and ground to ground of Arduino. Then uploaded the Arduino sketch, which initiates the calibration with 2000 signal and then 1000.
When I connect ESC to the 11.1 V LiPo (which reads 12.3 V on my volt meter), I only hear 3 beeps. I read that the 3 beeps signifies power to the ESC. After that no beeps are heard and the motor does not run.

I even flashed the ESC with the latest 12.9 firmware and all the motors and ESCs are new.

Any idea what would be happening here? Greatly appreciate your guidance.

I know nothing about Arduino. But normally to calibrate ESCs they need to powered.

    Maybe this may help.
