I tell you, I am getting scared to fly my own home built drones. I have had a couple of crashes recently. I am not sure what component failed. Initially I thought it was a motor but after listening to the video I do not think so. I took the old components off of my homemade quadcopter that crashed, and put them on the Iron Man 650. After reviewing the video I am beginning to think it could have been the PSU, flight controller, or an ESC. I probably will never know. Check out the video and if you have any idea what went wrong, please let me know.

That kinda look like you might have clipped a tree branch. If your bearings dry out they will destroy themselves fast. I oil my bearings after every 10th flight and use Scorpion Bearing Oil. I don't power up new motors until I have oiled them and I have had no issues with bearings yet.

No, it was definitely a component failure. It had a hiccup in the air not near anything then failed near my deck. Just bought some bearing oil. Will get to them all soon.

That bearing oil is very slick and hard to wipe off your fingers if you get messy with it. I use more than a drop! LOL

The needles are handy where you don't have to take the motor apart to reach the top bearing.
