    Hi all,

I am Dan, I run Cases2Go UK a protective case website that specialises in Quad cases and cases for photography equipment.

I have been into RC'c my entire life having spent a large part of my youth building petrol RC cars in my garage with my dad and my stepfathers obsession with RC planes only fuelled this.

I have been working along side members of the UAV and Drone community for the past 3 years and hope that I can learn a lot from the people in this community to help me improve our products!

I've been involved in product development for projects for DJI, Parrot and GoPro and hope I can offer some insight on these boards.

    Thanks :)

    Any questions please ask.

    Dan

    Hello drone enthusiasts,
we are a small group of high school students who share interest about drone technology. Backed by stakeholders such as Stanford University, Oracle1, and Design Tech High School, we hope that one day, drones will be part of our daily lives in fields of medicine, research, aid, and more! We were fortunate enough to have been given a space in “Open Journal Systems”, where we hope to use as a multi-person collaboration tool where people can create journals about their drone projects, their vision about the future of drone technology, and a place where people post journals about anything drone related. We hope to see you soon.

I am a student at the University of the Philippines Los Baños and currently taking a degree in BS Computer Science.

My proposal for my Special Topic (Similar with Thesis) is to develop an autonomous drone that can navigate indoors without the use of expensive 3D mapping equipment. The drone will only utilize a monocular RGB camera and perform decisions with the help of deep learning.

    Why create one?
Drones are now flooding the commercial market and a lot of companies are already using them to provide service to others, such as Amazon's drone delivery system. If a drone is able to navigate indoors, where GPS data is limited, it can be used to perform operations where man might have a hard time doing, such as search and rescue operations.

    The Goal:
My goal is to make this idea as cheap as possible. Similar ideas have been performed in prestigious universities outside the Philippines, but none, if not few, have been done in our country and I would like to be the first.

    Why fund me?
A drone is expensive. I will have to build one from scratch in order to reduce the cost, but even with that compromise, the components are still out of my budget. I am hoping that you can help me with this one.

    Thanks!

Please please help me with my project!

    Hello mSulleza,

The idea you presented is amazing, as is very unique. Do you think you would be able to write a Journal about your idea on our drone based journal website backed by big names such as Stanford University? You are free to add your GoFundMe in your journal, and who knows, you may get places.

Hi, everyone. I'm new here. Glad to know you.

I'm in LiDAR distance ranging sensor field for drones not long ago. I'm learning everyday about drones/UAVs and your guys helped me a lot. Thanks for your ideas and thanks for this Forum. I like it.

I'll be glad to share some more info about LiDAR for drones collision avoidance, terrain following, drones altimeter, etc. Hope you'll like it too.

Hello everyone new to your forum , you all are in a cool hobby, I currently do not have a drone but what I am looking for is advice on a drone camera, that has great wifi distance and will connect to a battery and be able to access from a iPhone or android phone, is there anything like that you all use on your drones

    Hello from Dodge City Kansas.

I'm 61 years old and have been flying RC for many years. Got in to the Drone/Quad a few years back with a Phantom 2 Vision+. Got a P3 and now I have a Mavic Pro.

Just bought my first racing drone as well. a Eachine V-Tail 210 with Vision goggles. Haven't flown it yet but plan to this evening.

Well I took the V-Tail out in the front yard for testing. Yeah.... I need more space LOL. Man that thing is fast. Well fast for what I'm used to anyway. Using the goggles is going to take some getting used to. I tried them out and had a hard time just staying on two feet with them on.

Love the stability of the Mavic Pro over the P3 but I think the video is better on the P3. Of course I haven't done any adjusting video on the Mavic yet, but the much smaller lens will probably not keep up with the Phantom 3's.

I am a disabled vet with severe COPD, So mountainbiking is out, Married 17 years no children out of three marriages, consider myself lucky. Other than that nothing really exciting or to brag about. just know talking on a forum of Quads can expand my knowledge of them. Thank you.

Hello everyone. My name is David and I farm in Northamptonshire. My Son has a hexacopter with a Go-Pro camera and he has shown me what it can do and I think it can help me to run my farm more efficiently by being able to look at crops and livestock in a different way. I need a bit of help and so have posted on the Forum for this.
