This is a really newbie question...

I bought an Ethos QX130 -- long story short, the wind caught it and it is long gone. I was left staring at an empty sky, controller still in hand. :-/

I see that I can buy a Hubsan Quads quadcopter without controller. Is it possible to pair my old one with it? Both quads use a 2.4 GHz 4-channel transmitter.

I guess I'm being cheap, but hate to just throw a perfectly good transmitter away. Thanks!

    The short answer is no.

Only a copter made by the same maker and OEM that made yours will work.

Based on what I read, your quad may have been made by WL Toys. BUT, even WL changed to a newer TX for many of the models they sell now, so the old one does not work. Chances are your TX will work with their 929 and 959 models, though.

My suggestion is to just put it on your shelf for now...don't throw it away, but don't count on it!
